Hello my friends!
My love affair with Indyx continues, but this time it’s getting delulu. I’ve spoken before about how I mostly use the app to retroactively track my outfits (as opposed to planning them in advance), but recently I’ve also become obsessed with the wish list feature. I’ve been using it to play around with looks using the items I hope to add to my wardrobe this coming season, and the fantasy pieces living rent free in my mind. I collaborated with Indyx on a collection of outfits, inspired by the iconic Vogue 7 days 7 looks series, and using a mix of Pinterest deep cuts, my personal wardrobe, and pieces that have haunted my dreams.
These outfits toe the line between fantasy and reality. Outfits I would wear if I had the budget and the occasion, and if every day were a crisp 15º. They’re not so far from reality that they’ll shock you, but they represent a dialled-up, aspirational version of my style.
Some of the fantasy pieces are readily available but out of my budget, some are archive designer, and one is literally property of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum- styling with these pieces is almost entirely disconnected from the act of acquiring them, and I enjoyed seeing these treasures mixed in with my collection purely for inspiration’s sake. I wanted these outfits to still feel like me, so I stuck to pieces that I genuinely would wear.
Here’s a peek at the pieces:

Okay, time for the outfits!
Monday- WFH
I know I’m not the only person who yearns for the James Street Co. Peri cardigan. There are countless ISO postings on every resale platform, and the infrequent restocks always sell out in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately for us all I do fear that it is the perfect cardigan, and I’ll continue to hold out hope that they will some day restock in grey, brown, or navy. When I work from home my top priority is always comfort, so I styled the cardigan with my favourite vintage sweats and these unreal studded clogs. I don’t need a bag when I’m working from home, but for the purpose of this exercise I included this rainbow leather chainlink cutie.
Tuesday- Errands
Don’t you dare try to tell me that silk cargo pants aren’t practical! This pair from Cawley would fit so seamlessly into my wardrobe, I just know it. The Norda trail running shoes might seem a little out of left field, but I think they’re a cool addition to the look and perfect for a day of running around. I could also see myself wearing this with a white long sleeve tee under the button-up for a bit of added warmth.
Wednesday- Thrifting & coffee with pals
My love for Georgia O’Keeffe runs deep, and this vintage Marimekko dress from her personal collection has haunted my dreams since I was a teenager. It’s currently in the possession of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum (I highly recommend a scroll through their digital archives), but if they ever let me borrow it to go thrifting with my pals, this is how I would style it! I love the pop of colour and texture in the red bag so I kept everything else pretty simple. I had to include my signature brooch, seeing as Georgia was the one who first inspired my obsession with them.
Thursday- Date night
I like to keep things pretty casual and simple for date nights, and I usually rely on my accessories to do the talking. The James Street cardigan and BSides Lasso jeans are cozy and easy, and let the special accessories be the star of the show. My wedding shoes and bag are a favourite date-night combo, and I added this incredible necklace by my friend Sophia at Noon Jewellery (who also made my wedding rings). I’ve shared this necklace in the newsletter a few times already, and as soon as it becomes available I will let you know!
Friday- Meetings
I take most of my meetings virtually these days, but this is what I picture myself wearing to a client meeting in a cozy coffee shop. I’m counting down the days until I can bring out all of my treasured knits again, especially this thrifted mohair cutie that I refer to as my Lego sweater. The real star of this outfit for me is the slouchy two tone Acne Studios bag that has had a permanent spot on every Pinterest moodboard of mine for the last several years. To me this outfit strikes the perfect balance between casual and put-together without sacrificing personality.
Saturday- Farmer’s Market
My Saturday morning ritual is a cozy cup of tea at home with my book, followed by the farmer’s market with the gals. In my absolute perfect version of this day it’s a little bit rainy but still warm, and this is what I’m wearing. The star of the show is this incredible Cordera rain coat (via Vestige’s Pinterest) that looks like a stick of dynamite, and everything else came from my closet. I absolutely love this striped knit that Toast kindly gifted me recently, and I can’t wait to wear it once the weather cools down.
Sunday- Big Walk
I do my best to get out for a Big Walk™️ each week at the lake near my house. My husband runs two laps of the 10k trail while I walk one, and it’s become one of my most treasured rituals. Since it’s a low intensity workout I don’t need to go full sport mode, and this is what I would ideally love to wear. The crossbody bag is by my dear friend Oak (Oat Equipment), who designs and makes the most thoughtful and functional pieces for climbing, hiking, and generally being outside. He uses primarily repurposed materials so his designs are limited and unique, and this particular bag is designed to hold a water bottle in the exterior bungee cords. I love the way my trusty red water bottle picks up the splash of red in the hat and shoes.
BONUS OUTFITS
because I simply couldn’t help myself

I truly had the time of my life putting these outfits together. Being able to play with some of these special pieces that I have no hope of actually acquiring scratched a creative itch for me. It was also a valuable exercise for understanding which wish list pieces would actually work in my wardrobe. There were quite a few items that I initially added thinking I would make a million outfits with them, only to realize that they didn’t fit with my wardrobe the way I had imagined. I highly recommend trying this out with your wish list items in Indyx to get a better understanding of how they fit within your wardrobe storyline before clicking “add to cart”.

Loooooove this! If you didn't *say* which were your fantasy pieces, I really don't think I'd be able to tell which really speaks to how solid you are in your own style. Even though these pieces ARE fantastical, I also wouldn't blink twice if you told me you actually owned them because they all fit in so well.
These are so so fun. Also loving plugging my wish list into Indyx—it’s so clarifying!
