Hello my friends!
I’m so excited to share a recent Indyx Lookbook that I styled! The full breakdown is in a new Youtube video that just went live, but I thought I’d give you a sneaky peek at some of the looks here as well.
I was very lucky to have a chance to create this Lookbook for Christina Mychas as part of my onboarding with Indyx, and having a chance to play around in her wardrobe was a dream!

Christina is a content creator who shares about her journey from shopaholic to Minimalist-ish, she co-costs a podcast, and she is also a fellow Indyx stylist. She has a wardrobe full of carefully considered treasures and it was so much fun to put together 10 looks for her! Each client who books a Lookbook through Indyx fills out the same questionnaire, here’s a look at the highlights from Christina’s.
Her 3 words are Minimal- Sporty- Sharp
She wants to feel Easy & Chic in these outfits
Her inspirations include Scandi style, The Row, 90s minimalism & rock n roll
She is interested in up to 3 Recommendations for items she might like to add to her wardrobe, at a similar or higher price point to what she already has.

I started by cruising through her wardrobe and recent outfits in Indyx to get a feel for her personal style, I learn SO much about my clients from how they wear (or don’t wear) their clothes. Then I gathered some images from the inspiration sources she listed, and also from the brands I noticed repeating in her closet. I paid attention to connections between the items she had in her wardrobe and the way her favourite brands were styling similar pieces, and I pulled together a few ideas that felt aligned. The goal was not to recreate any of these looks, but instead to tease out elements that I felt would complement Christina’s style and wardrobe.
There were a handful of pieces that I felt especially inspired to style, and I used each of them as a jumping-off point for an outfit. Christina gave me free rein to use anything in her wardrobe, but clients always have the option to select specific pieces to be included in their Lookbooks or even to request that their Lookbook be made using a smaller capsule of items (maybe for an upcoming trip?!).
Christina requested that I add a few recommendations for items she might like to add to her wardrobe, and after analyzing her collection and creating a few looks, I had some ideas for pieces that I wanted to suggest. One of my suggestions was a suede blazer, not specifically this suede blazer (it just had the best e-comm photo), but in general something in a rich brown to play with her red/blue/green accent colours, and to bring a new texture into the mix. Christina has a lot of blazers in her collection, but to me that doesn’t necessarily indicate that she shouldn’t get more. By looking through her recent outfits I can clearly see that she wears her blazers, so bringing in a familiar silhouette in a different texture could open up a whole new world of styling possibilities. The other two recommendations I made were for accessories, but you’ll have to watch the Youtube video to see them (diabolical, I know).
Recommendations are a fun opportunity for me to suggest cool secondhand treasures and sustainable brands that I feel proud to support, but I never want the outfits I create for clients to depend on a recommendation, so I always offer alternatives using pieces they already have in their wardrobes. Being able to share my reasoning for recommendations and a little blurb about each outfit makes the whole process feel very personal, and I spend a lot of time making sure my notes include references, styling tips, and ideas for swapping out items to get even more wear out of an outfit. My hope is always that the Lookbook outfits will act as a spark of inspiration for my clients to connect with their wardrobes.

I’m so happy with how Christina’s Lookbook turned out- I felt like there was a great mix of easy and chic outfits that were well within her wheelhouse, and a few that offered new ideas for expansion. But don’t just take my word for it!
I keep so many things in mind when I’m creating these outfits for my clients. Their goals, their inspiration, their 3 words, their recent outfits, the items that they wear all the time, the items that they haven’t styled recently, the pieces I’m inspired by- I always want to have a mix of outfits that will feel familiar, outfits that push at their boundaries and offer a new perspective, and usually at least one wild card. I love creating these Lookbooks so much, and 10 outfits really gives me the space to explore different themes within someone’s closet. I also loved talking it all through in long-form video over on Youtube, so if you enjoyed the deep dive please let me know and I’ll prioritize making more.
If you’re interested in booking a Lookbook with me you can do so directly in your Indyx app, and for a limited time I’m offering a discount on a Personal Styling Session when you book both services together.
As always, thanks so much for reading :) I’ll be back soon with more sustainable and attainable style for you.
Great video! I want to put my wardrobe into Indyx and am thinking about my best plan of attack as someone with ADHD 🫠I might start with pieces I keep in my wardrobe year round (like jeans), photographing what I wore at the end of the day, and doing bigger spurts on weekends when I have time. I rotate things out seasonally. What do you think?
Love love love this!
